Cafe Atzlan was a project I was a part of while working for ASD SKY in our San Francisco office. This is one of many of our projects created for a technology and social media company in the Silicon Valley Area.
This goal of this project was to create a cafe that was reminescant of a Mexican Marcado; otherwise known as a marketplace and gathering site for all things food, music, and hand-crafted goods. My team was inspired by the Marcado's bold, bright colors and the textures found in traditional Mexican clothing.
A huge focus was creating bold floor graphics to which guide the guests to specific food stations. After careful research, our firm discovered that by placing way finding on the floor, employees were able to find directions with ease because of the need to be looking down at their devices.
